Pillow Fight

The pillow fight I had with my younger cousins and sister just before Christmas dinner was very memorable. I was running just behind my younger sister, Gillian. I was clutching my red beanie pillow under my arm. I could see Gillians swinging from her hand, identical to mine except for the fact that hers was green. Our cousins, Sara and Samantha, pursued us relentlessly, but they were slowed down slightly because of the large sofa pillows they were pulling along beside them.

I could smell the turkey and cranberry sauce as I ran by the kitchen, but none of us were allowed to go into the kitchen because our parents thought we would knock something over. They were probably right. I remember how I was running while tightly holding onto my pillow. I was looking over my shoulder just as Sara threw her huge sofa pillow at me. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Gillian and Samantha bashing each other flat with their pillows.

I turned to counter the blow, but it was to late. The pillow sent me stumbling into Gillian and Samantha's desperate battle and we all tripped over each other. I heard Sara's uncontrollable laughter as we climbed to our feet. I hope we will be able to have another pillow fight next year.
